As of 4:30 p.m. this afternoon, the power was restored at Aromas School and Anzar High School. School is scheduled to be in session tomorrow, Tuesday, October 29th.

Good evening Anzar Students and Families,
We are in the middle of a statewide shut down of power by Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E). The power outage has impacted the two communities in our District. The Power went down in our community on Saturday evening, October 26, 2019, and is not expected to be on until after 2 p.m. on Monday, October 28, 2019. Anzar High School is on two different power grids; the well is on a different grid than the power. The well provides water to the school and is shut down due to the power outage. The District and school site administration has decided to close school on Monday, October 28, 2019.
At this time, school is anticipated to be in session on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, with transportation running according to the regular schedule.

The District has received notification of a possible Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) event. We will monitor the situation throughout the weekend with notifications to Aromas-San Juan Unified School District families regarding the impact on our schools, if any. At this time, please note that there is no identified impact. In the event we have any impacts on our schools, we will send out notifications via social media, email, the District, and school websites. All of these modes of communication are available on cell phones.

Anzar students may dress up for Halloween. However, students may not wear or bring masks or replica weapons. If you have questions, ask your Advisor.

Admission to future Anzar Football will increase for adults to $8 for adults, student admission will be $5, children ages 7-12 will be $3 & children 6 and under will be free. This will bring Anzar into compliance with PCAL by-laws Article 21 we apologize for any inconvenience.

Good Morning Anzar Families,
We have posted a power outage notification from PG&E on our website for your review. In summary, the announcement identified the potential for power outages in the adjacent counties of Santa Cruz and Santa Clara counties. The notification does not include San Benito County. However, we are so close to both counties an unintentional power outage could occur, although not likely. This information is passed along to you in an abundance of caution. If a power outage ensues, you will receive information via our all-call system.
Please check the District and school site websites for updated information as it becomes available.

Two excellent "Parent University" events are coming soon at Anzar High School through ASJUSD counseling (10/15 and 11/14). Themes include mental health and substance abuse.

Mandatory Fall Parent Meeting for Athletes on Tuesday, August 27th at 6pm in room 206

Anzar is requesting shelf-stable food donations & hygiene products for our new food and hygiene pantry opening soon! Bring any donations to Mrs. Crawley in the office.

The High Step Introduction to Drones class begins August 26th. This is free to Anzar students, every Tuesday from 3-6:10pm. Please see Mrs. Crawley for details.

We have had an issue with the water pump on campus, the repair is scheduled to be completed 8/19. For the convenience of students and staff portable restrooms and bottled water will be brought in. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

A Facilities Committee meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 6 p.m. in the San Juan School library to continue the discussion regarding solar energy

The Aromas-San Juan Unified School District covers approximately 100 square miles in western San Benito County, northern Monterey County, and eastern Santa Cruz County. The District includes the city of San Juan Bautista in San Benito County, the unincorporated community of Aromas in Monterey County, and other unincorporated areas in its three-county territory. The majority of the District's land area is in San Benito County.
